I don’t like this. The AI features on so many phones are so creepy. I just saw a commercial for.. idk, maybe the google phone? “You can create any background in your photos!” Wtf is the point? I don’t want to George Glass my whole life.
I don't know if this is what you're referring to, but I've seen a commercial for the Pixel 9 that touts the ability to generate selfies with other people by essentially merging your pictures together, so you don't have to pose for the picture simultaneously, and aside from how unnecessary this seems... it also feels a bit sinister, in this age of deep-fakes? Someone with less than pure intentions could take a picture of a person, then take a picture of someone less savoury, and more or less create a scenario where they're hanging out together.
idk for me it's no bueno and all the more reason I won't be upgrading my Pixel 6 anytime soon (as it is I like to use my perfectly functional technology for as long as I can).
Hmm maybe that was a part of it. I saw the ad in passing and it was like a group of teens taking a selfie together, but then the background kept changing. And I just don’t get the point of that. If the AI is good enough to make it look like you’re in Paris, but you’re actually not.. why? And if it’s just generic AI where it’s obviously a filter, again.. WHY.
i know i will need to get a new one eventually but i dont want this ai bs
all the other tech companies are going to start implementing in their phones too (if they havent already), and soon its going to be unavoidable unless you get a non smart phone

Old school dumb phones are trending again, and I'm seriously thinking about getting one.
