i know Age Gap Discourse is very much A Thing on this website, but my parents had 13 year age gap. they met when my mom was in her 30s, they didn't have kids until my mom was 37 and then 39 when i came along as a surprise.
liam hemsworth is 34. idc if it's 10 years or 13 years or 23 years like it is in the case of liam and laura's age gap here. if the youngest partner is over 30 and the older partner is a decade or two older, what's the fucking problem? if you have a problem with it, you are infantilizing a grown person that is not very far from middle age and you are calling the older partner a pedo. i'm not talking about adults who met their future partners when they were still children. i'm talking about two consenting adults who entered a relationship and are happy together. like this is supposed to be a comedic scene:

Yeah, I don't have a problem with this age gap LOL. My parents have a substantial age gap, too, so I get it (although it's the typical man older than wife by a number of years). Maybe that's why I am attracted to guys in their 40s/50s in my mid 30s... Welp, adding that to "discuss with therapist" list lmao.

I did like the Dressmaker since it also had the element of Kate Winslet's character sticking it to her close-minded hometown. I think I just don't care for romances where there's no other plot? Lol
