Literally listening to Linkin Park rn. I'm still heartbroken over Chester but I'll give the new album a chance though I wonder what the sound is gonna be like without him.
amazing icon, amazing music. your taste is impeccable!
chester can never be replaced and it doesn't sound like they're trying to. i like the song they just put out! different, but you can still hear mike's signature style all over it.
I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I'm glad they're back and I'm glad the rumours of a female singer is true... but listening to the live stream so far, I'm not really that impressed with her vocals and I'm finding all the key changes a bit jarring. I also think she screams a bit too much even on parts of songs that don't really need it. Maybe (hopefully) it'll grow on me.
The song isn't bad. Not Chester but I like it. It has the footprints of Linkin Park song. I will give them a chance, of course. The Fray (Yes, I know...judge me, ONTD) also have a member left and one of the other members step to become their lead singer. I like what they have release so far too.
Different, yes but different isn't always a bad thing.

I was suffering for her vocal chords but I really liked how she did In the End.
“And in the role of Chester Bennington this afternoon is each of you “ 😭
I wish them the best
