So are the songs all the same or different styles like Shania Twains Up album?

Omggg my mom used to cycle through all those CD versions in the car when I was a little kid. Almost forgot about this but that would be iconic

Chasing the charts by releasing multiple album variants is so fucking lame

but here it's ironic self-crit, she's playing 4D chess

At least it doesn't seem like these are following the TTPD©️ formula and they all have the same tracks. Vinyl variants have been a thing for a long time and she's not releasing a clock piece™️ (sold separately®️) to encourage fans to buy every variant

it bothers me less when it's all the same album, so you buy the one that's prettiest to you and have all the music. i'm more annoyed when ppl do it like taylor and olivia (i think she did it?) where each variant has exclusive stuff tacked on, and there's endless numbers of them.

my reminder to listen to lonely is the muse because it's that time of night

looking forward to it as one of the acclaimed critics who acclaimed her last album

The 80s cover is my favorite but admittedly I haven't been impressed with what I've heard from the album so far

The 80s hair and makeup really suits her tbh

Same. I love the 80s cover as I am a sucker for 80s aesthetics, but the stuff I've heard from the album so far has been pretty underwhelming. I've listened to her catalog and I only really liked her last album. Trent and her work really well together and they did great work there for sure.

"If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power" is one of the most incredible/ambitious pop rock albums in recent memory tbh. It is spectacular and it's really a bummer that it didn't get more public acclaim. I'm not even a Halsey fan like that, but everyone I played "Easier Than Lying" for was impressed. Definitely a career highlight album and possibly her magnum opus.
