Same. I love the 80s cover as I am a sucker for 80s aesthetics, but the stuff I've heard from the album so far has been pretty underwhelming. I've listened to her catalog and I only really liked her last album. Trent and her work really well together and they did great work there for sure.
"If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power" is one of the most incredible/ambitious pop rock albums in recent memory tbh. It is spectacular and it's really a bummer that it didn't get more public acclaim. I'm not even a Halsey fan like that, but everyone I played "Easier Than Lying" for was impressed. Definitely a career highlight album and possibly her magnum opus.
Actually I'll go ahead and redact my statement. I listened to "Lonely Is the Muse" again and it fucking slaps. I'm still on the fence with "Lucky" as a standalone but I feel like we're about to get another masterclass in full-length albums from Halsey. BRING IT ON.

I was really hoping she'd work with Trent & Atticus again. Her last album was perfect, 15/10 no notes.
