ONTD Original: 6 Endeavour Episodes to Get You Into Autumn

It may still be summer but mentally I've moved on to my favorite season, autumn. When this time of year comes around people often share tv shows which get them in the mood, like Gilmore Girls. Endeavour has become that show for me. It's not a cozy mystery or a gritty drama. I'd say it's somewhere inbetween but more than anything it's theatrical!

my own recommendation mystery show is Whitstable Pearl, which gives off strong end of summer/nights are getting colder vibes (and is watched by like me and 10 meemaws around the world at best lol)

I've been curious about Whitstable Pearl! I like Kerry Godliman so I'll give that a try this year.

Oh a couple things you and anyone else might want to know, Endeavour is structured similarly to Sherlock so the episodes are like 90 minutes, lol. They operate more like individual films.

The other thing is that if you want to start from the very beginning and are watching on streaming, the Pilot is often listed separately for some reason.

I enjoyed Whitstable Pearl, its a little lighter than Endeavour. I find the crimes a bit less engrossing as they are only an hour - I prefer where ypu get more into e.g Vera etc

Gonna give it a try! Love shows that give fall vibes. I usually watch Fringe around that time. Dark and The Gloaming are also good show for the same reason. None of those are cozy though lol.

I need to get back into Endeavour! I loved Lewis but I can’t watch it anymore

I liked the season with Fancy and Trewlove.

Lewis is my all-time favorite show, I just love Robbie Lewis and the Robbie/Laura relationship.

Trewlove is one of my fave characters.

I wanted to go back and watch Lewis but I fear Lawrence Fox will ruin it for me.

What helps for me is I always viewed James as Robbie’s sidekick and while I liked him okay as Robbie’s sidekick , I never really cared about him as a character. The last two seasons have way too much James stories, time that would have been better spent on exploring Robbie and Laura’s relationship.

I was little sad we never got to see or even hear anything about Trewlove in the finale. She was great.

Same! There's an episode of Elsbeth which reminded me of early OMITB. I think it was meant to be parodying it. lol
