As opposed to English physicist Brian Cox (who probably doesn't have much to say about the state of cinema, but who knows, he could have hidden depths).

Wikipedia did describe him as English physicist and musician but I'm not familiar with his musical output.

I don't blame actors who want to take on a fun role or get paid - the issue is studios trying to maximize profits (to diminishing returns) and refusing to take chances on anything new. Hugh Jackman is not the reason there's a bunch of terrible MCU films

(RR might be a little guilty as a producer)

Hugh Jackman has been in 10 MCU films. He has to be a little responsible. They know they're not signing up for Shakespeare.

He was only a producer for Wolverine Origins (embarrassing lol), so all he did was say ok to getting paid millions of dollars to play a fun character 9 times when someone much higher up and with way more money/power said "we need more Wolverine content! this is the only thing that sells!". If he had said no the studios wouldn't have made some art film, they'd just recast. The decision makers are the real issue is what I mean.

He is. They gave a beautiful and meaningful ending to his character in Logan.
And he couldn't leave it alone.
And he went full promo with Ryan and honestly, it's embarrassing.
