But the writing is a different matter. That wasn’t tired; that was checked out. D&D knew the ending to the story years in advance before the exhaustion set it and failed in those years to set up a satisfying ending. By the end they cared more about shocking the audience than telling a gratifying and logical story.
Plus, they always hated the magical side of the story and downplayed it in a way that, I believe, robbed the ending of some sense. Bran’s plot was always so thin (didn’t he just disappear for a season?) but obviously it mattered if he ended up on the throne.

Now people are hesitant to watch anything by them, and they lost Star Wars. Granted, they've always had shitty ideas (the Civil War show - WTF?!), but they screwed themselves over.

He knows no one was criticizing performances but the source material. He dodged this like jon snow dodging his enemy’s blows.

is it true the big fight against the ice walkers is hard to see because there is little to no light
if that's true they should have copied lotrs two towers fight and just put lights

Then they followed up with an episode featuring a Starbucks cup.
The last season was phoned in. I am sure the actors were tired but the people in charge had senioritis and just didn’t care anymore.

This was a good answer. I feel bad for the actors who still get these questions when the failing was all in the writing, but Kit in particular is never escaping his association with this series.
