I get what they're saying about Harper and I'm looking forward to see her get back up there buuuuut I still wanted more from her during the premiere. She's THE main character and I don't want to see her sidelined :(

Other than that, the premiere was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 So much happened!! TOO MUCH MESS!! I screamed at everything with Rob! Eric, I can't even! And Yasmin!! I go back and forth between loving and rooting for her and then wishing she would just crash and buuuurn. Her storyline this season seems dark af tho! I hope it's not as bleak and it seems :/ And Kit is a great addition so far, he's going to bring the drama and drag everyone with him lol I can't wait!!

Yeah, I've always seen her as more of the lead so I did a little sharp intake at that bit about Yas being more prominent this year. Like I get it from where they left off with Harper last season, but I want to be more alongside her working her way back in then! I do really like Sarah Goldberg, so I'm really looking forward to her and Harper's interactions.

I couldn't believe the thing that happened with Rob. Like OMG! Not sad to see that character go, but I know what she meant to him and obviously we're just seeing the beginning of his tumultuous emotional journey.

Eric was killing me. Not his kids there at work the next day lol.

TBH, when the first season started she didn't seem as much of the lead as she became, and I kind of think it was about time for the show to expand the lens more.

I’m gonna be honest. I’m not gonna read all that(I skimmed). I haven’t had a chance to watch the episode.

Does more Yas mean less Harper? Because then I’ll just binge the show later.

Would you believe I was trying my best to summarize lol. They give very lengthy answers. I felt like the interview was only edited to take out filler words and pauses. And it's also very open about stuff that happened in the premiere.

I would've liked more Harper in the season premiere. She doesn't pop up until almost halfway through the episode? Two big scenes. You can tell the shift is more on Yas so far since Harper isn't at Pierpoint (for now).

Thank you! I like Yas but also find her frustrating and annoying(all the characters are). So I'll wait for some episodes to built up.

Happy to hear the good reviews on Kit because I was hesitant on his addition.

Absolute banger of a premiere, I'm so excited to see how the rest of the season shakes out. I already love the addition of Jon Snow and Sally.

My favorite thing about this show is that the showrunners aren't sentimental about their characters. It makes for more satisfying storytelling, like with Succession.

Putting this under a cut just in case... [Spoiler (click to open)]did Yasmin kill her dad? And dump the body? In that brief flashback it looked like he was assaulting her :/

I feel like there are strong Ghislaine/Robert Maxwell allusions hovering over this season what with her father being a disgraced libidinous publishing magnate embezzling employee pension funds. I mean the yacht from the flashbacks is called Lady Yasmin. I'm pretty interested to see where it all goes...

I replied to the wrong post at first oops, lol.

But yeah on your spoiled part. I've seen other people speculate the same. And combined with the showrunners' comments about her past, I can see it.

And agreed about the writers' feelings about their characters. I liked that they were straight up like, ~I don't think our characters are capable (or even want) of redemption ala inner peace.

This episode was a good reminder that Kit Harington is, in fact, 5'7.

Hoping Harper gets more to do in subsequent episodes. I wanted more of her in the premiere.

I enjoyed that they weren't hiding it. Really got a kick out of him jumping onto that counter or whatever lol.
