Artists go uncredited for work on "Borderlands"

This time 3 years ago I was rigging the CG asset of Claptrap for the Borderlands movie. I worked on him for 5 consecutive months. Neither I, nor the artist who modelled him (Who I worked with the entire time), got a credit for the film

Anybody who says they "dodged a bullet" is delusional. They're not responsible for the movie being bad and they deserve the recognition. Getting credited is good for their careers.

That sucks.

I know so many cases of this, too...

Also people getting credit when they did not work on the movie!

Idk at my former company it was simply a case of ah managers demonstrating their power. All they had to do was to send a list of names... And they sent the most random ass list ever. Typically the credits were done in a rushed manner, so by the time someone had realized they were not on the credits, it was too late.

I'm a VFX artist and I oftentimes don't get credit on a movie. It's been explained to me that there's a limit of names each studio can include for some reason.
