I've heard so many rumors already:

1.) WB demanded Joaquin drop out to do Joker press.

2.) Joaquin got cold feet over all the NC-17 scenes

3.) Joaquin wanted the scenes to be MORE graphic.

But man, whatever happened, it's fucked up. He was the co-writer. If it is WB, then fuck them. If it was all Joaquin, then fuck him for screwing so many people out of work/money.

It's not unusual for actors to do press for one movie while they're in the middle of filming for another. If WBD did make him pull out for that reason, then that's a mess. It wouldn't be the first time that WBD has made demands on an actor that was involved with another project already though.
