This is something called Soundtrack Dissonance, and it goes beyond end credits, but for the sake of this post, I will focus solely on movies taking a 180 when it comes to the end credits compared to the soundtrack in the rest of the film. this whole ending is weirdly upbeat for a movie about taking revenge (and destabilizing an entire country) for your friend's wife's murder, but the song is the icing on the cake... I imagine most people under 35 have only heard the Celine Dion cover that came out a few years later and had no idea it was originally written for a Bond movie lol

however, no Bond end credits song can ever be as jarring as this (and s/o to Guantanamo)

Immediately going from Jaime getting his hand cut off to the upbeat song was the definition of jarring to me.

I’ll never understand Mulan’s ending song choice + the ancestor dance party. It feels so out of place.
