It's wild to me how big she has gotten without any of the traditional markers of "success" for a new musical artist-like, her one successful single has just now hit top 10 and it isn't like she is doing a massive traditional promotional push where she is unavoidable everywhere. It feels very, very organic like consumers are seeking her out and a LOT of them. It's been really interesting to watch as someone who likes watching charts lol.

There are many factors and these things are always hard to pinpoint when they are organic, but for me, I think it’s just because she has songs with actual interesting melodies; they’re catchy but often hit unexpected notes.

its just tiktok and social media driving her, and in both those instances she IS unavoidable

People have been consuming the entire album instead of one viral song, which will give her longetivity.
I finally listened to her album after Good Luck Babe and almost every song could be a single!

i was there! i was relatively close to the stage and had no real concept of how big the crowd was, so seeing the pictures after was crazy. it was so fun and chappell was incredible but getting out of there was an absolute nightmare.
kesha was on immediately after chappell ended and half the crowd was trying to exit while the other half was trying to see kesha, so people were moving in different directions and it made it difficult to tell how to even get out. there was also a big group of people just sitting on the stairs blocking one of the only exits and they wouldn't move even after people were chanting at them to. plus it was hot as fuck and people were passing out left and right. i was genuinely panicking there for a minute thinking there'd be a crowd crush.

tbf kesha was on a different, smaller stage so you still had to move to get to her set and if you were towards the front for chappell you probably would've been in the very back for kesha and wouldn't be able to see anything. i would've been down to stay for her at any other time, but it was so hot and crowded that i just wanted to get out lol.
still got to hear some of her set though as i was escaping and it sounded fun!

i still haven't heard one song of hers. It might be the greatest shit ever, but im a man of a certain age. I need that stuff forcefully pushed into my ears these days rather than me willingly hit PLAY.
