It's wild to me how big she has gotten without any of the traditional markers of "success" for a new musical artist-like, her one successful single has just now hit top 10 and it isn't like she is doing a massive traditional promotional push where she is unavoidable everywhere. It feels very, very organic like consumers are seeking her out and a LOT of them. It's been really interesting to watch as someone who likes watching charts lol.

There are many factors and these things are always hard to pinpoint when they are organic, but for me, I think it’s just because she has songs with actual interesting melodies; they’re catchy but often hit unexpected notes.

its just tiktok and social media driving her, and in both those instances she IS unavoidable

People have been consuming the entire album instead of one viral song, which will give her longetivity.
I finally listened to her album after Good Luck Babe and almost every song could be a single!

She’s getting pushed by Spotify and TikTok. Her, Sabrina Carpenter and Troye Sivan are getting playlisted like crazy. And also AutoPlay.

her rise kind of reminds me a bit of Lizzo? who had big songs that took a few years to get big

but more so obvs with the algo favouring white artists

she got pushed onto me but honestly I love her now, esp her morals since she refused to perform for the White House(? iirc) since they're all pro-genocide -_-

IMO her music is just that good. Its really fun and kind of throw-back music, and incredibly catchy.
