Little off topic but I'm babysitting my sister's rat for a week and she has a tumor that's almost bigger than she is. Sis told me she was at the vet when she noticed the tumor back when it was much smaller and he told her he wouldn't recommend doing anything with it. She's already quite old and he feared the anesthesia would be worse than the actual tumor which is benign. She doesn't seem to mind it and she's a happy camper, eats well and everything but I'm so tempted to just take her there and let them cut it out. What do I do my fellow animal people?

I don't know if this a sarcastic comment buuuut don't do anything without your sister's consent. You're watching HER dog. If she hadn't done anything because the vet said the anesthesia would be worse, then don't.

It's not sarcastic at all. It's a rat not a dog. But I should have specified, she would be ok with me taking her, cuase she was thinking about it too... She's just as lost as me.

Oh, it's an actual rat. I thought it was like a hairless chihuahua. Lol!

Anyway, you and your sister should get a second opinion, cos anesthesia is no joke. Or see if there's a way to cut it off without having to go under.

He hasn't lost a step because he loves you and will do anything on command but please pay attention to your dogs age, he's not an android, he is aging.
My two cents my dog will jump if I ask but his joints are like, you betta not!
