Tati Westbrook announced on YouTube today that she has reached a settlement in a lawsuit against her after 4 years, this before the trial was set to begin this month.

If you remember, her Halo Beauty business partner (Clark Swanson) sued her for trying to pull a fast one and launching Tati Beauty without him or the Halo Beauty brand. As a ( Read more... )

God she's so annoying. I actually liked her at first because she was older and not a hyper Jaclyn Hill type, and seemed to actually base her recommendations on things she used. Then she started gushing about stuff she got for free and then would never mention using again, and James started popping up in a majority of her videos, then this nonsense with the vitamins.

Same, I remember really liking her channel early on because she seemed chill, quiet, and recommended really decent products and affordable dupes. She got me onto Physician's Formula's blushes and highlighters, and for that I am thankful.

I used to like her but it is very clear the filters she uses make it impossible to know how good the product actually is.

I dunno, a lot of the beauty community still seem to have massive nostalgia for that first palette she did. Whenever I'm down the make up declutter hole on YouTube (I find them oddly soothing) there's always several people waxing lyrical about how much they loved it and refusing to get rid. I don't know if the nostalgia's enough to make her commercially viable in the end, but it's more basis than some

I'll never forget when everyone thought she'd come out with makeup and she announced those damn vitamins. Millions of dollars fumbled.

Gah this woman.

I want to like her because her recommendations are actually usually good, but *waves at her delulu ass*

The fact that she was doing a candle and a fragrance line fucking pisses me off. She REFUSES to use candles at all, because 'it´s so bad for you, and she says she has a fragrance allergy (that magically disappears when she really wants to use a product)

But her first palette was fire tho.
