I had never heard of this book, but it has almost 700K ratings on Goodreads and was originally self-published, so good for the author I guess.

I’ve read some of her stuff and have yet to like any of it… her stories are fast paced and easy to breeze through thanks to short chapters, but her books are either poorly written and use too many overused tropes (or are just rip-offs of other stories) or have too many plot holes.
The only one I’ve liked is the first Housemaid, haven’t read the sequels yet.

It feels like she comes out with a book every month, so you already know the quality isn't good and it's not.
