So, it starts with this tweet by Laci Mosley - known for the podcast Scam Goddess which ONTD loves very much and highly recommends. Laci says

My mom is an AKA I’m not because Jodie turner smith (long story) but they are hoppin on calls with political leaders in 2 hours. The girls are MOBILIZING. Hahaha

Ok, but OP says she graduated in 2008, but if you click on the expelled pic receipt next to the highlighted Jodie Smith name, the year listed is 2010.

So they waited two years AFTER to expel her?

Good catch! I didn't even notice. Maybe articles are reporting her graduation date wrong?

ETA: it is also possible the scam happened after she had graduated and she was telling people she could get them in for a free when she no longer had the power to do so.

That's probably the case. Generally, you are a soror for life (with access to resources, connections, activities, etc) but they can and will remove you for bullshit, and that seems like that's what happened here.

i had friends who were AKAs and it’s a lifelong thing. they’re constantly doing meet ups and events years after graduation so yes it’s plausible they expelled her from the organization after university.
