The bridge really got me. I knew she was sick but seeing the wig come off was a moment.

As someone who complained a lot of this past year that Halsey is "so lucky" for being with Avan Jogia, my celeb crush, this hit hard.

Mte I feel bad for all the clowning I've done on her in my mind because of my unbridled jealousy that she's with Avan lol

Also Avan seems to really, really be in love with her and support her so that's very nice to see.

I like this a lot. I loved the original, and I think this is able to be an obvious tribute to britney (as a cover) and her influence while still being halsey's own spin on the story.

i also loved it. i don't see it as lazy with the chorus. she's playing homage to britney, if anything it's cool to revisit this original given everything that's happened with brit since this song first came out.

it's actually interesting to take that song and infuse the commentary of fame/recent events, with her own life and the parallel impacts fame has had on her. and the verses are really beautiful.
