Good timing! I literally started Derry Girls last night. I watched a couple episodes but I think I may just not be in the mindset for a goofy yet dark comedy right now. Also they talk so fast it's kind of hard to keep up with when I'm tired, even with subtitles.

There were definitely times when even with the captions on, I would think wait, what did they say?

the way "you must think I came up the Foyle in a bubble" had me so confused, lol

Sometimes the combination of speaking quickly, the accents, and the slang results in me questioning what words I think I heard and what they mean in that order 😄

I love derry girls so much.

There is rumours of a rift in the cast which makes me really sad. Claire, James, Orla, and Sister Michael hang out together and interact on socials all the time but Michelle and Erin only seem to associate with each other. I’m let’s hope it’s just the internet being dramatic again and there isn’t actual beef lol

I'm hoping that's because Michelle and Erin's actresses are actually from Derry so they are more likely to be in the same place at the same time? I hope so at least

I hope so too! The social media thing does seem suspicious unfortunately. Nicola is on Instagram all the time and hasn’t liked any of saoirse’s recent posts, and vice versa (and nic was posting a lot during Bridgerton promo).

I just finished Derry Girls today! Weird timing. I loved it, though. I looked up some videos on YouTube and now desperately want to watch the Bake-Off episodes they're on.

Also, it's so hard for me to hear the accent and not think it's fake, haha.

I thiiink I'm downloading it right now, and it's the first thing I've torrented in so long, lol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XjakFkQNK4 made me do it, it had me dying laughing.

Nicola has talked about baking in some of the Bridgerton interviews, so I feel like it will be a good mix of funny and also not entirely catastrophic baking-wise.

Update: Turns out it wasn't the right episode :(
