As someone who wasn't that familiar with the anime and manga (like I knew OF them just never watched or read them), I LOOOOVE the live action and I'm so excited for its return. Definitely agree with this rec.
I have 4 "My Lady Jane" episodes left to watch and I expected it to be way funnier than it is (Seymour/Dudley is an amazing duet though and I love Stan, he is hilarious). I thought I would binge watch the show but I look at my watch a lot and that's not good. I like the show (and the narrator!) but it lacks some British humour I think. Horse man is hot and he looks like Colin Morgan! Frances reminds me a lot of Portia Featherington! They're BFF in another universe! But it's funny how Máiréad's character can't finish in the first episode here and in the first episode of Extraordinary it also happens! Can't be a coincidence! Love Extraordinary, the actress who plays Carrie is great, and her talking to spirits scenes are hilarious!
Also great and with the same vibes as the ones you mentioned is Renegade Nell which stars Orla from Derry Girls (in a very diff character and shows her range).
Fun post cause totally the types of shows I want to watch nowadays.
Totally agree with The Great!! Their chemistry is so good in that - I really want them to star in a romcom movie together!
A weird but fun show I’d highly recommend is the What We Do In The Shadows TV series!
More along the lines of corny but fun I’d recommend Cobra Kai (karate gang war soap opera) where it’s so ridiculous and OTT but also fun! And I’ll say The Gilded Age too because it has great costuming and the stakes have never been lower so it’s quite comforting lol (except for some Peggy plotlines)

How I sell it: Maladjusted weirdos falling in love that's beautifully shot and has a great score.
How I sell it: Just a really cute show. But did no one tell Tane not to take food from strangers?!

If you want a weird show that's fun maybe give One Piece a try. Idk. I love it. It's fun. Plus practical sets and the world feels lived in.
One of the few shows where you can see where the money went.
