Love Jonathan Aycliffe's books... though I would prefer an adaptation of his book The Lost

King's first novel to be set in Florida and in Minnesota.

I didn’t know such a thing existed.

House of Leaves was good but not that scary to me, and I honestly didn't really like Heart-Shaped Box. I've never heard of Naomi's Room or the author, so that's a blind spot in my general love of horror that I'll happily fix, thank you OP!

May HP Lovecraft never be adapted again and his racist work become obscure.

Truthfully, I find horror written by cishet men to be a little...lacking.

For me, I genuinely don't understand how anything by Gwendolyn Kiste hasn't been adapted yet; The Rust Maidens would be a spectacular horror film.

Kathe Koja's The Cipher.

I'd love to see Emily Carroll expand into animated horror, the way her art and her story blend together to just give you the creepiest vibes the entire time would be so good if adapted correctly, particularly A Guest in the House.

Screams From the Void by Anne Tibbets was quite Alien-inspired, but would be such a fun creature feature, just absolute slaughter.

I know Gretchen Felker-Martin is controversial and can be very love-her-or-hate-her, but Manhunt is truly great horror about how even when men are feral beasts who must be killed, women are still doomed to repeat their mistakes if we don't truly examine the structures of misogyny and what they mean.

Star Eater by Kerstin Hall would also make a great movie
