That weekend began my obsession with failed cons. I was obsessively checking tumblr and twitter for any and all updates. I want people to keep sharing their experiences with Dashcon until we’re all dead and gone. I never want to stop hearing about Dashcon.

it's wild because if they set their sights a little smaller, it could have actually been a fun con. Tumblr was the home of fandom by that point and they could have started on a smaller scale, given it a couple of years, and BUILT UP to getting people like Night Vale and ND Stevenson lol

its so true and my bfestie and I have talked about this for years! It had a built in audience, it could have worked SO well if the scale was just so much smaller.
