Because each state has their own laws. It has nothing to do with the convention. I’ve seen people say that they might be able to sue to get someone else on, but the Republicans would challenge it all the way to the Supreme Court and this court would keep them off the ballot.

Dems have championed Biden for 4 years and now all of a sudden they're acting like his cognitive issues are something new and he isn't fit to serve? They want Biden to step aside, but none of them are throwing their hat in the ring to take his place. They've had FOUR YEARS to find/nurture/groom a different candidate and did NOTHING.

Dems are all but ensuring Trump gets a second term and I am absolutely disgusted.

I don't agree with Biden and his policies, but if the choice is between him and the fascist hellscape that is Trump & Project 2025, you can be damn sure I'll be voting for Biden.
