I'm so tired of hearing everyone's theories about Jack the Ripper. Like, I would skip that episode if I wasn't watching with someone else who will want to see all of them.

Me too. Patricia Cornwell doing a book were she said she had solved it was what really got me tired of the theories.

DITTO.

I listened to a really good podcast (Bad Women: Ripper Retold) where the first half of it was a deep dive into the victims' actual background by an actual historian and the second half was about the massive push back and hate this poor historian got from her work, all because her findings debunk a couple prevalent theories. People are so obsessed and invested in Jack the Ripper for no god damn reason at all.

Thank you. I'll check that out. I have no interest in Jack the ripper but that sounds very interesting

ok at least there's seemingly no suicides this time that the family refuses to accept unless the Amanda Antoni case is that

I grew up not far from Beaver County but never heard about that story omg

Or drug overdoses.

That's what I was pleased with.

The Beaver County one sounds really fucked up. Maybe you can do some digging and find out more info.

I thought Mothman was an Appalachian cryptid. What's he doing in Chicago?

ahh i've been waiting 2 years for this! i just wish the show didn't leave out important details. i've been rewatching the old show too. it's like my comfort show.

this is the unsolved mystery that i would really like solved and given more coverage

it's disappointing that there hasn't been any significant documentaries or anything about the case afaik

This is so sad. I hope this case is solved one day. I can't imagine how her fam feels

I wonder if someone from her church/school/community lured her out or if someone saw a vulnerable child and took advantage of the situation

It's so awful. Seems like it must have been some rando who saw her and took advantage of her.

This particular case has always stuck with me - I hope her family is able to find answers one day

I used to love unsolved mysteries but I cannot seem to watch the new version or re watch the old ones for that matter. I need a conclusion, which is why I watch forensic files instead

This is why I loved old school American Justice on A&E, most have closure even if the jailed suspect was offering a different and implausible theory of what happened.

Yea, not having a conclusion drives me batty!

A lot of the older episodes are getting updated! They are still obtaining info and leads and they'll update the video. Which is great, since when it was re-run it wouldn't.
