Normani posted to social media to explain why she had to pull out from performing at the BET Awards, and it was because she unfortunately had an accident during rehearsals and injured herself. She also posted a photo of her wrapped leg.

i know the situation is different because normani is a dancer and makes danceable music but lucy dacus performed multiple full shows laying down on a couch when she herniated a disc in her back lol

Mariah has also performed entire songs laying horizontally on a couch (and even once on a stack of hay during a Jul 4 tv performance of Beautiful with Miguel lmao) without any injury whatsoever but b/c she could lmao
