The last episode was the only good one. Everything else was a slog.
ETA: LMAO I'm realizing I thought Ice Chips was the last episode and didn't even know there were two others after that. And I have no interest in watching those other two.
Pros: - I loved the first episode but I seem to be in the minority lol - loved all the music choices - Napkins was such a lovely episode and gave us another side to Mikey - I liked JLC much better this season than in Fishes. When Sugar said she couldn't remember her grandmother and Donna said something like "you don't want to", her pain was so palpable - loved the last episode, the conversation between all the chefs, Luca!, Carmy confronting Joel McHale, the afterparty at Sydney's - Carmy's single tear after Joel McHale pulled the ol "I don't think about you at all" ...Jeremy is so so good
Cons: - the Faks are not half as entertaining as the writers think they are. I am much more interested in an episode about Ebra or Sweeps - Claire. Carmy needs to shit or get off the pot because this storyline is such nothing and I don't fucking care - too many loose ends. I wanted Carmy and Sydney to have a legit discussion and her tell him about potentially leaving, Richie to RSVP or not - basically I wanted more Josh Hartnett lol
I loved the first one as well. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross created the music for that episode.
I haven't watched the last episode of the season, but I see it as part of a bigger story arc. I hate when things are all wrapped up in a nice bow, and this whole season is like the calm before the storm.
It was an existing NIN song that they used; Reznor & Ross didn't specifically compose it for the show.
I also loved the first episode! I think S3 is setting up S4, but man I wish they didn't spend as much time (or any, actually) on the Faks like they did this season.
They really need to stop with the category fraud already. This show is not a comedy. The comedy is the fact that they can keep getting away with competing in that category.
"I was telling my friend that this season felt like a first half of a season and now we just need the second half to feel complete."I totally agree! For that reason (if we take it as a mid-season finale), I didn't mind the pacing but looking at some of the criticism, it seems like there's a HUGE disconnect between the amount of time we've had to wait for this season and the amount of time that actually passed on the show

This is a huge tv/movie pet peeve of mine. It is really rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional to show up at someone’s job to have a really personal conversation. This isn’t a life or death issue so wait until after I’m done with work and then we can talk about it!
And that’s even before we address the high school situation of “but he really likes you!” If he doesn’t have the emotional maturity to say that stuff to her himself, then he isn’t ready to have an actual adult relationship.

Yeah. This reminded me of my time in university when my friends were all "[Guy friend of ours] really likes you! You should date him!" and I basically said it would be very presumptuous of me to assume that he liked me that way without him actually saying it. And it's not like I led him on or anything - I basically said "Unless he actually says something I'm living my life as is."
the non-negotiables were so ridiculous, it started the season off on the wrong foot imo. Changing the menu every day, especially, what a DUMBASS decision, financially, logistically, intellectually...oh so some successful restaurants change the menu every day? Cool cool, but you're not a successful restaurant yet. Also it gave Carmy the option of shooting down all of Sydney's ideas, every single day. Total chaos when the restaurant review mentions a duck dish they can't even remember making. And explain to me how you can decide to change your menu every day on a budget standpoint, for food deliveries etc makes zero sense

I really enjoyed episode 6 and the Faks are an embarrassment.

Most of these storyline could have been condensed.
And enough Faks jesus christ there's no need to have so many of them.

We're adults, we can use our own words.
