Pros: - I loved the first episode but I seem to be in the minority lol - loved all the music choices - Napkins was such a lovely episode and gave us another side to Mikey - I liked JLC much better this season than in Fishes. When Sugar said she couldn't remember her grandmother and Donna said something like "you don't want to", her pain was so palpable - loved the last episode, the conversation between all the chefs, Luca!, Carmy confronting Joel McHale, the afterparty at Sydney's - Carmy's single tear after Joel McHale pulled the ol "I don't think about you at all" ...Jeremy is so so good
Cons: - the Faks are not half as entertaining as the writers think they are. I am much more interested in an episode about Ebra or Sweeps - Claire. Carmy needs to shit or get off the pot because this storyline is such nothing and I don't fucking care - too many loose ends. I wanted Carmy and Sydney to have a legit discussion and her tell him about potentially leaving, Richie to RSVP or not - basically I wanted more Josh Hartnett lol
I loved the first one as well. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross created the music for that episode.
I haven't watched the last episode of the season, but I see it as part of a bigger story arc. I hate when things are all wrapped up in a nice bow, and this whole season is like the calm before the storm.
It was an existing NIN song that they used; Reznor & Ross didn't specifically compose it for the show.
I also loved the first episode! I think S3 is setting up S4, but man I wish they didn't spend as much time (or any, actually) on the Faks like they did this season.
They really need to stop with the category fraud already. This show is not a comedy. The comedy is the fact that they can keep getting away with competing in that category.
I feel like they’re really forcing the Claire thing bc she’s meant to be a stand in for the creator’s partner lol, like it’s the only thing that makes sense! she’s Gillian Jacobs and Carmy is Chris Storer
