There are no perfect victims but this story gets more concerning with every passing day.

I lost a ton of sympathy for him when he, at least in the show, didn't go to the cops after his trans girlfriend was assaulted. he was pretty awful to her too.

"insisted that Gadd didn’t have final say in casting decisions"

Yeah, but that doesn't mean he couldn't have done what she said. We all know that people lie about what they can or will do in order to use or take advantage of other people. And how are they going to say he had no final say when people on the production say he was heavily involved? Management needs to get a better lie out.

I was going to watch this show when it first came out, but the very first behind the scenes scandal turned me off, and every subsequent report has made me glad I didn't watch it.

Exactly, it really proves nothing in terms or what he may or may not have promised someone.

Her whole statement is basically clickbait. He didn't promise her anything, and in it she even says they mutually agreed that maybe forming a professional relationship would not be the best idea, and that he didn't abuse her. She self diagnosed him and talked about what her therapist said to validate it, which is pretty gross...but yeah, made sure to make the whole thing sound like some salacious wrongdoing and blocked anyone who called her out on it.

Yeah the whole thing was wild and of course nobody went to read what was actually written in that thread...

i truly don't understand people's obsessions with finding the real stalker and rapist. especially for the rapist, there's really going to be no definitive proof on who it actually is.

also, i had read the twitter thread from reece but i wasn't aware a separate person filed a lawsuit against the show.

but to the topic in the title, melissa mccarthy was not the right choice for this and i'm glad it went to the person it did

Netflix is currently getting trashed by former casts and viewers of several of their reality shows over the shitstain that is Bryton Constantin. If they don't care about publicly condemning this nobody, they certainly dgaf about badmouthing their top show rn.

Is there a write-up somewhere or video I can watch about the controversy about this show? Cause I get some of it but I feel so lost whenever I hear something else come up
