My legit knowledge of him is from Gilmore Girls. Not a fan of his character. Meh, tbh I wasn't even a true fan of that show before the reboot ruined it. Nothing ever happened...the stories never progressed, and not in a like storytelling and a slow burn and episodes of people doing things, but in that it became a yawnfest. The story of that show stagnated, until it didn't, and it was annoying. My BFF loved it and I love those moments when she would tell me all about it. That was good ( ... )

I haven't watched any CW content in years and I'd typically just post his "E TU BRUTE?" rant and dip, but considering he's been on the network since it was the WB and has seen and felt these changes first hand, I'm going to give him this one.

i need a tell all from everyone who's been on wb to upn to the cw to now, i think. i remeber back when spn fandom was the little brother to the pre-existing wb fandom universe before it became it's own thing

He's not wrong, but I'm honestly surprised the CW still exists at all. There don't seem to be ANY shows of interest to me anymore, when it used to be that 3 or 4 current ones were always on my screen. But each and every show there always looked cheaper and cheaper every season, they didn't even have the budget for special effects or half of their cast anymore before they were cancelled.

I used to watch practically everything on the CW (Gossip Girl, Supernatural, ANTM, etc.) and now I'd be hard-pressed to name two shows on the network.

Yeah, I mean it's also in general the slow death of network tv right now. There are only three CW originals right now - All-American, All-American: Homecoming, and Superman and Lois, and the latter two are ending with their upcoming season.

It's funny because younger millennials remember The CW as a bastion of iconic buzzy television but that was also a downgrade of The WB for elder millennials, it's like each decade the thing got degraded and degraded and now it's not even a television network anymore. Sad

Yeah, game shows are even cheaper to produce than reality shows, are largely "inoffensive", and appeal to the boomer demographic that still watches network television.
