My bet would be that the AI is not good at picking up speech if there's a lot of ambient noise (eg. music playing in the car), and is kinda racist for not being able to decipher accents.

before they make any changes like this (or Wendy's price gouging which is ghoulish) they should make the CEOs and decision-makers work the test runs in real restaurants with real pissy unhappy customers
