This piece doesn't appear to acknowledge the role that entertainment media plays in making sure that these white male actors' names and faces remain in high circulation.

I'm still thinking about the NY Times piece about "rodent actors" when at face value seems like something silly but in reality is a PR Trojan horse designed to cement the name recognition for their whites-only list.

The likes of ONTD then follow this lead and all of a sudden you're inundated with countless posts about the Elvis guy, Timothy C, Jacob Eloridi and the guy that evidently licked his bathwater.

It's all a bore.

Pedro was born in Chile, but his parents were from Spain and his grandfather was part of the aristocracy. So yeah, not exactly what I'd use for diversity.

How unsurprising as Hollywood only wants to invest in white / white adjacent talent, which is then also enabled by majority white audiences not supporting non-white talents in the way they do for the white ones.

For example: IWTV not being the sweeping success in the leagues of Succession, et al.
