My roommate asked me if I wanted to watch the match with her and I said no thank you (she knows I don't like football, and I'm not Spanish, so I care even less about this team). Then, when they won, she asked me if I wanted to watch the award part because "it's a historic event"... WTF. NO IT IS NOT. People getting their rights recognized is a historic event, not a fucking football team winning a match.
Sorry guys but I hate football and deranged football fans
Real Madrid winning the CL for the zillionth time isn't that memorable in itself, but I wouldn't say that the CL final isn't a historic event.
People still remember the iconic finals like Man Utd in '99, the comeback at Istanbul, Bayern beating Dortmund at Wembley, Zidane's insane goal against Leverkusen, Madrid beating Atletico ten years ago. These were historic events for sure.
I don't even know why UEFA even bother with an opening performance. Except for those who want to watch the pre show coverage, people usually start watching 5 mins before kickoff.
