(for years I thought the chamber was one of his most famous song from like the early 2000 and that for some reason the radio channel i listened to decided to play it a bit more a few years ago....The song is too good !!!!)
also just checked the wikipedia page of that song to see how it was described so I could search for more songs like that and they describe it as a "Chic-like bass groove and sensual vibe"....What the fuck is chic-like jfc
The Chamber was/is one of my favorite songs from him, so I get your energy. But nah - it's not old. One of the reasons why I like that song is because it does have a heavy bass and sensuality to it; it's not old, but it's an older vibe.
And Chic-like is referring to the funk/disco/soul band Chic. Nile Rodgers was/is co-founder of that older group and he's known for his influences that have that kind of vibe. I would not be surprised if Lenny was influenced directly for that song from some of Chic's/Nile's music.
