"Pachinko" Season 2 Debuting in August

Apple shared the new season 2 opening credits of Pachinko to announce that the show will return August 23. The show scored an Emmy nom for its season 1 opening title sequence, which can be seen here. New stills were also released, which are under the cut.

Wait, so how much of the book did S1 cover? Or is it deviating a lot from the book? I read it a few years ago but have not gotten to the show yet.

I would say half way? I'd have to rewatch to be sure.

They kept Noa's storyline out of season one almost entirely so there's a lot to still unpack. They do deviate a fair bit though.

on top of what everyone else said, i believe i read they planned for 4 seasons total so i think they’ll go slowly through the book/add some extra stuff

I loved the S1 opening credits so I'm glad they stuck with the fun dancing theme! And given how many shows have dispensed with having opening credits, I love that Pachinko has almost two full minutes of it. I miss shows having iconic theme songs and seeing the footage of the actors get updated every season.

This brings me so much joy, it's insane :) S1 was so well done and I loved the opening. Song choice for this one is just ok to me, but I love seeing the cast dance around. Can't wait for S2 honestlyyy
