Ooh, adding Handling the Undead and Backspot to my watchlist.

What have you been watching lately, ONTD? Seeing anything this weekend?

I was lucky enough to get a free Mubi subscription (for a year!!!!!!!!!

The last movie we watched was Hit Man on Monday. It was cute, if not as good as I was hoping for a Richard Linklater movie. Glen Powell is a star, though - he has great screen presence and charisma.

Was gonna go see I Saw the TV Glow on Tuesday night, but the theater was super full, and now it's only doing daytime showings at my local AMC. Make it make sense!

We could have gone to see American Graffiti last night, but we weren't feeling it, so we stayed in and watched TV. Debating on going to see Rocky Horror Picture Show tonight, as I have only ever seen the first fifteen minutes like three or four times, but idk.

Nothing new is really speaking to me this week. I saw Robot Dreams back in March. The WPitW reunion looks like a bummer, and I'm not really into gory horror or heartwarming family movies. Maybe I'll just go see Challengers or Furiosa again.

Oooh, almost forgot, but I am going to see a couple of movies from our local "Bleak Week" festival this weekend: The Panic in Needle Park, with an Al Pacino Q&A, and the extended version of Margaret with a Kenneth Lonergan Q&A. I've never seen either one, should be interesting!

I wanted to like Hit Man more than I did - you're right about it being a great vehicle for Glen, but the Madison character was paper-thin (and let's not even get into the ending). I expected more interiority for the female lead from the guy that brought us the Before Trilogy, but maybe that was all Ethan Hawke & Julie Delpy.

ROBOT DREAMS FINALLY it's very sweet and wonderful (and there is ONE line of dialogue actually!)

Seeing Robot Dreams tonight (phew FINALLY) and In a Violent Nature on Sunday; I want to get to The Dead Don't Hurt if I can, but not sure when. And Furiosa again on Sat because how can you just see it once?!?

I saw Young Woman and the Sea earlier this week and I really liked it: it's cheesy and Disney-ish -- there is an actual spinning-newspaper montage -- but Daisy Ridley is so lovable and Stephen Graham plays an adorable non-psycho for once, and the scenes at sea are pretty gorgeous (probs bc it's the director of Kon-Tiki). Also Claire from Fleabag being delightful! I cried @ the end lmao

Honestly not sure if I can watch the Moviepass doc without being triggered into a fit of rage, as I was an early adopter and was perfectly content to pay $50/month and KNEWWWWW it would fail horribly as soon as it got huge and cheap and greedy. Sometimes gatekeeping is good!!!! lol I'm still salty

I didn't have Handling the Undead on my list, but Worst Person in the World reunion?!?! I need it!
