We've been doing a very slow Girls rewatch and I can't wait to get to Desi's crazy ass. I still refer to him strictly as Desi despite The Bear... a compliment to him, honestly, as that character so thoroughly embedded itself in my brain.

That's funny about the Kelly Clarkson rejects - I remember Tucker watched the show for the first time a couple years back, and would message me when he got to certain eps (the beach house ep was a big one). He would have appreciated that info!

My favorites are Marnie singing Stronger while everyone dies of embarrassment, and Adam getting hit by the car while fighting with Hannah.

I will never get over the fact that Marnie and Desi had a song called “a song for Marcus Garvey,” or that their wedding was based off an idea marnie got from an Edward Sharpe video lmao

Also, despite what she says, her defense of marnie here and talking about Taylor swift makes her sound very much like her character lol.

The show holds up really well on a rewatch. It’s better written than SATC in my opinion.
