The Pope tells Italian bishops not to let gays into seminaries, saying that "there are too many fa--ots" in the Church already.

It happened last Monday, May 20, in a closed-door meeting between Francis and the Italian bishops who arrived in Rome for the general assembly. They were talking about whether and to what extent to admit openly homosexual candidates into seminaries.
Francis showed once again himself to be very rigid on the issue (he already said so in 2018 and years prior, but without slurs), reiterating his "no" in opposition to the openings of the majority of bishops. He observe that in the seminars "there is already too much fa***tism" (he used the Italian term).
Some bishops confirmed this and explained to Il Corriere that rather than embarrassment, the exit was greeted with some incredulous laughter, and they defended Bergoglio saying that Italian is "not his mother tongue" and "was not aware of how offensive the word is in Italian".
