the whole thing about the mad max movies is that continuity varies from piece to piece and max generally is too insane to gaf about much.

Yeah it's a common thing in the franchise buuuut this is first time there's a direct continuity and timeline compared to the previous 3.

it still fundamentally runs by the same logic. and even then, you have to remember that max is generally Not Right in The Head and he never explicitly says - and i know, bc i just rewatched it two days ago - he didn't know who immortan joe and the warboys are. he just never tangled with them personally. other than that, he's never really said what he does or doesn't know or if he did or didn't know her. if anyone would remember it's furiosa and even then, she still wouldn't have known his name or been sure if he was real at the time. sometimes i feel like people need to remember what these movies run on and that continuity is fine to be a little wibbly wobbly.

I enjoyed it. It’s not Fury Road, which was one of the best of its decade, but it was entertaining and Miller obviously knows his way around action filmmaking.

It was enjoyable, definitely not Fury Road levels of good but there was a lot more of Hemsworth than I expected considering it’s called Furiosa lol Anya emotes so well and has such expressive eyes that she can make a role like that work with such little dialogue. I have enjoyed her in everything I’ve seen her in thus far
