tbh i think that had she not very clearly projected long term that this was happening and directly tying it to previous racist treatment, they wouldve done the same to her

Okay it's bullshit that it was disqualified from the Hot Country Songs chart. I don't like all his music but he has another song that makes me think of old western movies. Like whenever I hear it I picture an old timey shoot out. And it's called Rodeo so that tracks.

The difference is that Beyoncé is a beyond established artist with a large fan base who could easily back her.

Plus her songs are more country here than OTR which was more novelty and fun than serious.

I mean he’s just saying that he wished he had been embraced more when he came out with Old Town Road and gotten some of the country recognition on the charts and potentially with the Grammys.

And those saying he didn’t stick to country… I mean why would he after the reception that OTR got? Maybe he would’ve continued in that direction if he felt there was a niche for him there? Especially when you consider his album had a lot of ballads and introspective songs on it, he could’ve leaned into the country a bit.
