i think the whole "old town road isn't country" thing was total bullshit. it was definitely country. it was just an absolutely terrible song i to this day i don't understand how it got any airplay. also he had one viral hit. and she's freaking beyonce.

I get what he's saying. His old town road was literally everywhere with a thousand different versions and it's too bad he wasn't embraced on the country side.

Beyonce didn't have that much success breaking into the chart until this 2nd try so... it's not like she had it easy either which is a weird thing to say about Beyonce lol
