oh but recently i did see heart of rock and roll and you know what, i ended up liking it a lot more than i expected. i only saw it to kill some time (i know....... lol) and the first act was fairly template, but the second act was way better and i left feeling like i was proven wrong. i wouldn't say drop everything and go, but they prob have some cheap prices and there were a lot of huey lewis fans in the audience having the time of their lives, which is very cute to me

also, i guess if you like men's arms, they're on full display a lot lmao

I'm seeing "Bye Bye Birdie" in June and "Nine" in August. Both have great casts, so I'm excited.

I was lucky enough to get lottery tickets for Merrily. Such a good show! As a Sondhiem fan, this cast album is probably my favorite ever. This cast though was just so, so, so good. They have such an amazing chemistry that really does only happen when you are true friends. Johnathan was fantastic, and Daniel was phenomenal, him doing Franklin Shepard Inc is def my favorite performance of that song. I was happy Lindsay was there because I guess she’s been known to not be at every show (she’s 4 months pregnant, so I’m giving her a pass for so many absences). She was hands down the best of all of them; I would love for all of them to win, but if Lindsay loses I’m gonna have a fit.

I would love to go see this show again before it leaves. The music is amazing, the cast is amazing, and I mean everyone. The ensemble is amazing as well. I just can’t say enough about how much I love this show.

I can't wait to see it!

As for Lindsay, I would say her race is tight. I'm not sure about Groff anymore. Initially him and Eddie were tight but now I think Groff has a bigger lead? Need to check out prediction sites lol. I think Daniel has the best chance but Tonys have also infamously disliked him in the past, so.

Ahhh, glad to hear that at least ONTDer won the lottery!!

I agree, it's a fantastic production with a superb cast. Saw it at NYTW (no Lindsay), and once on Broadway (with everyone, woo), and I genuinely had to talk myself out of buying tickets to see it on this trip because it's just too goddamn expensive. But like... it's so ridiculously good! Their friend chemistry is incredible, and DanRad's Franklin Shepherd Inc lives rent free in my head. One of those shows that makes me really wish they did pro-shots, because it will be tough to match that energy.

I'm so excited to see Merrily July 2nd before it closes!

I'm so torn on what other show I will see on the trip. Initially Inwas considering The Outsiders but the reviews don't seem so good here lol. Then there is Illinois and maybe The Notebook? I wasn't really considering that one but now I keep seeing that song on TikTok and it's lovely.

I'm bummed Sweeney closed earlier this month as I would have seen that in a heartbeat.
