Disney’s first go with X-Men 97 was considered to be one of the best X-adaptations in years.

Fox had some really good stuff but they were very inconsistent. They botched Dark Phoenix twice.

Not necessarily. Based on the ending of The Marvels and what’s going on with Fantastic Four they’ll likely start off in their own self contained universe.

I feel bad that Sophie Turner was served such a rotten go with Dark Phoenix. Meryl Streep couldn't have saved that script.

Initial plan was two movies, first movie was Phoenix and second movie was Dark Phoenix. They would have included the Shi’ar Empire. That might have been the best approach.

so happy that xmen 97 was so successful, hopefully it will help give the MCU a good blueprint for the films. curious as to what storylines they're looking to adapt into live action and where they're going to start in the x-timeline. so many possibilities!

I will die on the hill that it should have been Iman from the very first movie. They better do right for this next cycle and cast someone comparable.
