Disappointed but not surprised.

I hated Sarah and I think they did a very poor job writing her, but that's also not surprising given that the show revolved around man pain. And that episode where she's stuck in prison during the riot is completely nightmare inducing. Thank fuck the show wasn't on HBO or something bc you know they'd have used that storyline as an excuse for her to experience the most vicious abuse on screen.

The “what did I let them do to me” part? Relatable. That’s why my advice for women at work is “be a cunt”. That unfortunately will earn you respect.

Oh no, bummer, I remember really liking the first season of that show, although it went off the rails after the actual prison break.

Name names, Sarah! If Wentworth Miller is an asshole I need to know!

She went into more detail on Jon Berenthal’s podcast. She seemed to suggest they were all in a groupthink mindset but (and my memory is fuzzy) she knew that people like Wentworth knew better and mostly stayed quiet, which still bothered her.

ETA - iirc she did not actually give names but you could guess

It sounds like Wentworth who she was good friends with never stood up for her

And this is the problem - men not standing up to other men, making it clear their behaviour is not acceptable and won't be tolerated.

Men allowing this shit to happen even if they thsmselves aren't participating in the action/behaviour is a huge issue.

There won't be change until men themselves speak up against other men/intervene.

That was my thought, but I don't know that excuses anything! (100% don't mean you/r comment!!!)

We didn't know what anyone was going through. It makes me ill and it makes me furious. Every day someone comes forward with an abuse story. Mostly women.

I spent all my years in Ireland supporting/hosting consent education class, organising TBTN.

For every person that does share there are sadly 100+ behind them too scared to break the silence.

I am constantly incensed. Me too has come and gone. Cosby and Weinstein both hobbling around town.

I am still stuck on Lori Beth disclosing her abuse to a producer. Nothing happened and he is now the head of Paramount Studios. There were mandatory laws already in place for mandatory reporters.

It gets worse every day

it is a lot and I hope you take care of yourself bb! don't let yourself get burned out by your rightful anger, it would be another loss in all this garbage.
