It's interesting to me that a lot of Doctor Who actors haven't been like that, and in fact are more outspoken politically than most. They've tended to come from more working class and middle class backgrounds.

Like, of course, you're gonna want to empathize with a person you're close with. But being able to criticize them (fairly, I might add) shouldn't be off the table. Like, how hard is it to say, "I've worked closely with them and consider us friends, but they have a terrible take/have done terrible things"?
