Dan is a sexual predator and an abusive employer and the people at Nick didn't bother to do anything until after about 2 decades. And that was the bare minimum.
The person that Lori raised her concerns about Amanda with was Brian Robbins, who is now the president & co-CEO of Paramount.
I am sorry she and others had to deal with all of this.
Baby me had a crush on him when he was on Head of the Class. And just about every male actor/celeb from the 80’s that I had a crush on turned out to be a horrible person or did something shady. So it would track if he has victims too.
i looooooved her in all that. she was the correspondent on their news segment and i always enjoyed that so much. also, i really loved seeing her on screen as a fellow fat girl :)
happy that she's speaking out. it must feel like removing such a huge burden after carrying it for such a long time. i wonder if she's reached out to jennette.
Kel Mitchell is on this weeks Club Shay Shay. I doubt he's got any dirt to contribute necessarily (Kenan said he wasn't privy to anything during his time at Nick).
But i reckon not everyone was aware of a lot of things. I dont imagine Lori Beth telling cast mates of her relationship with a producer.
I dont think we've ever heard any terrible stories like this pre-All That days (not counting the Ren and Stimpy creator, but he didn't work at Nickelodeon studios proper).
So it seems Dan Schneider was the start of all these things and whatever crew was working there at his time.
my dream is that it becomes law that any social media accounts that feature underage children for more the 80% of posts/video can no longer be monetized.
Admittedly I know nothing about hollywood but are there social workers on set? I know there are tutors but I’m starting to think a social worker is needed on any sets with children and multiple for any with children ensembles.
No social workers on set. There’s a teacher who will be set-adjacent, but not on set. The closest thing to a social worker these kids have is an adult guardian who is supposed to advocate for them. Most of the time it’s is a parent who doesn’t want to make waves and get their kid fired. Sometimes the parent will pay no attention to anything on set because they’re “networking.”

Also, we are overdue with laws regulating family/children's social media in regards to monetization.
