I hear the staging for this is really good from a technical standpoint but idr who told me about the changes they made to the source material on here but I'm still pissed about it and did a deepdive when it hit Broadway and got even more pissed lmaoooo

I love the Outsiders movie but don't really understand why it has to be made into a musical.

Because everyone is out of ideas. Mean Girls becoming a musical which then also became its own movie is peak for me.

I kind of felt the same about The Producers first being a Broadway show, then a movie, a revival on Broadway, then a movie again with Nathan Lane & Matthew Broderick who starred in the revival.

I haven't seen or read The Outsiders in decades but I do still say "stay gold Ponyboy" to people when I'm not sure how else to exit a conversation
