UPDATE: RTL news (a legit Dutch media network) has just announced Joost has been disqualified and will not be participating in the Finale tonight. Wow.

do we think people actually like their song, or are people coming out in force just to vote for israel specifically?

Realistically even more people will tune in because "omg I heard about this online" and no-one gets punished except for possibly Joost.

I had no idea Moroccanoil is Israeli. I was fooled by the name. Never purchasing products from them again. They´re overpriced anyway

Not saying this is absolutely the reason behind such a high vote but apparently some italians thought they could vote for Italy and they ended up voting for Israel instead (basically, usually the qualified countries would just show small snippets of their songs during the semis, but this year they gave them the full performance spot among all the other countries. I don't know if they were kept during the recap but I saw tweets about how some people's relatives/neighbours assumed they could vote for their own country and voted for #14 which was israel).
FYI, I know enough italians who would do that. (but again, not saying this is the main reason why was the vote results so high).

We are performing at number 2 in the GRAND-FINAL TOMORROW. Everyone says this is a «death spot» (a deadly position in the performance context because, according to the regularity of TV shows, participants who perform later have better voting results).
The show’s producers choose this number for us. Who better than Ukrainians to know what it’s like to go for your goal AGAINST ALL odds?
Let’s unite and make history TOGETHER!
Vote for number 2.
