Of the three solos, Easton's was the best but that's not saying much because the other two were sorely lacking. I don't understand why the solos have been so bad this season. Did these dancers all come in 100% confident that they would never be in the bottom and therefore did not come with multiple solos prepared? I said this last week, but if any of them had done those solos during the audition round, they wouldn't have made it into the top 10.
I thought the format changes for this season had real potential but unfortunately the way it's playing out is having only two group dances per week instead of multiple pair dances. I'm glad that they at least brought in some new choreographers. I was disappointed that this season was billed as geared towards being more of a realistic industry gauntlet and then the first few weeks, they just brought in the same choreographers they always have for the show.
I also wish that they would take a cue from Step It Up and Dance/Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team and ASK THE CHOREOGRAPHERS

i love that at 1:46 of boombayah they do the "wash your face" move
i can't unthink of that move being called that since i watched kingdom: legendary war and stray kids were doing gods menu x ddudu ddudu and called it that while learning some of the choreography lmao
When I was on the dance team in high school, there were some very specific moves that we have names to, partly because they weren't traditional moves that already had a name and partly to help us remember the choreography. It's always hilarious to hear all the things that get yelled out during rehearsal to remind people what's coming next!
I don't know why Fox is refusing to post all of the routines, especially since we get so few in each episode. If you haven't seen the second T-Pain routine, it starts at the 6 minute mark:
