Of the three solos, Easton's was the best but that's not saying much because the other two were sorely lacking. I don't understand why the solos have been so bad this season. Did these dancers all come in 100% confident that they would never be in the bottom and therefore did not come with multiple solos prepared? I said this last week, but if any of them had done those solos during the audition round, they wouldn't have made it into the top 10.
I thought the format changes for this season had real potential but unfortunately the way it's playing out is having only two group dances per week instead of multiple pair dances. I'm glad that they at least brought in some new choreographers. I was disappointed that this season was billed as geared towards being more of a realistic industry gauntlet and then the first few weeks, they just brought in the same choreographers they always have for the show.
I also wish that they would take a cue from Step It Up and Dance/Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team and ASK THE CHOREOGRAPHERS for their opinions after working with the dancers each week. They don't even need to give them a full vote on the panel. I'd just like to have them talk with the judges about who they felt was the strongest aka who they would hire if they could only choose one dancer from the group.
